Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification is needed to support students in a K-12 school setting for the 2025/2026 school year in Barre, VT. This contracted position runs as soon as possible through June 19, 2026, aligning with the school calendar.
Location:
- Barre, VT
- Services provided at Barre City Elementary & Middle School and Barre Town Middle & Elementary School
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans and assessments for students exhibiting behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Collect and analyze data to guide behavioral strategies and adjustments
- Provide training and coaching to school staff related to behavioral management techniques
- Ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements for behavior specialists and BCBA standards
Qualifications:
- BCBA certification highly preferred
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred; relevant education with 2+ years of experience considered
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment
- Strong skills in behavior assessment, intervention planning, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
