Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on an adaptive acuity unit in Vermont, requiring both PCU and charge nurse experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital-based adaptive acuity unit with 25 beds
- Primary patient population includes med/surg and telemetry cases
- RN to patient ratio is 1:5 with occasional assignment to PCU care (3:1 ratio)
- Role requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend work is required every other weekend and holiday coverage is expected
- Travelers must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within their scope
- Drip experience is required for this role
- Charge nurse responsibilities are required as part of this role
- Holiday time off will not be approved as all available time has been reserved
- All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; none will be considered after offer
- Travelers must be willing to work in any inpatient unit as needed
- Working with a small, critical access team environment
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered

- Active VT or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) are required
- Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg tele experience required
- Prior charge nurse experience is required
- Strong PCU experience required
- Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing experience required
- Drip experience required
- ICU and critical access facility experience strongly preferred
- Candidate must have their own vehicle for transportation
