The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule averaging 32 to 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar student support capacity, preferably within a school setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
- Strong communication skills and a positive, patient demeanor
- Flexibility in working with a variety of student needs in grades 5-8
- Basic knowledge of classroom management techniques and implementation of educational plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support and assistance to students in small group or one-on-one scenarios as directed by teaching staff
- Help manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment
- Assist with lesson preparation, instructional materials, and activities
- Track student progress and provide valuable feedback to educators
- Adapt to evolving needs and assignments as more details about the caseload become available
