Make a meaningful impact this school year supporting students in Vermont as part of an onsite special education team. This contract-based opportunity calls for three dedicated professionals to help shape inclusive, supportive learning environments for students across both high school and elementary settings.

Bring your creative thinking and adaptability to two roles at the high school, joining a pioneering new program supporting students with executive function challenges, Autism, and severe behaviors. Here, you'll collaborate with a forward-thinking education team to prepare learners for real-world employment and life skills, including opportunities at the local tech center.

A third opening is available within an elementary-age building, working as part of a collaborative team of four. This classroom supports students with learning disabilities in reading, writing, and math, as well as those with high-functioning Autism. Additional support from physical and occupational therapy staff ensures a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to student growth.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Active Vermont Professional Teaching License
    • Must include either: Special Educator, Special Education Consulting Teacher, or Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
  • Experience or a genuine interest in working with diverse student populations, including those with Autism and behavioral needs
  • Adaptability and creativity in instructional practices
  • Desire to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Successful fingerprinting (recent approved results accepted)

Key Details:

  • Full-time, onsite (35 hours/week)
  • School year contract: August 19, 2026 – June 14, 2027
