\n Position Overview
\n Experience the beautiful Vermont fall season while working at Copley Hospital in Morrisville/Stowe. This 13-week Med Surg/Telemetry travel assignment offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a community hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific, direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

\n The RN is expected to demonstrate leadership by delegating tasks appropriately, maintaining professional nursing standards, and complying with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations. This position may involve caring for patients across multiple units within the nurse's competency.

\n Responsibilities
\n Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
\n Deliver age-specific nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
\n Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and intervene appropriately.
\n Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
\n Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
\n Interpret telemetry rhythms and communicate significant findings to providers.
\n Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
\n Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
\n Delegate responsibilities appropriately to ancillary nursing staff while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
\n Maintain accurate and timely documentation using CPSI/Evident EMR.
\n Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, and all state and federal regulations.

\n Requirements
\n Active RN License (Vermont license required upon acceptance
\n Current AHA BLS Certification
\n Current AHA ACLS Certification
\n Current AHA PALS Certification or ENPC
\n Active De-escalation Training prior to contract start (or proof of a scheduled course before clinical orientation)
\n Previous Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred
\n Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
\n Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
