Location: Burlington, Vermont, United States
Start date: 10/19/2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: 8-hour evenings (5x8)
Weekly pay: 3,512 to 3,719 per week
Guaranteed hours: 0
Assignment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment
Setting: Hospital-based imaging department with inpatient and outpatient services

- Floating between inpatient and outpatient locations within the service area
- Holidays: Travelers must work 2 of the 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Epic exposure required; teaching hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations for a variety of indications, following physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain consent when required, and ensure patient safety during imaging
- Position patients, select appropriate coils and sequences, and adjust parameters to optimize image quality
- Monitor patients for comfort and safety; assess for contraindications and manage contrast administration as needed
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and storage of imaging data; verify studies in the electronic medical record (Epic)
- Maintain image quality standards, minimize artifacts, and communicate findings with radiologists per protocol
- Float between inpatient and outpatient locations as assigned; adapt to unit needs and patient care priorities
- Adhere to all safety guidelines for MRI environments, including screening, sedation as required, and infection control
- Schedule considerations: no block scheduling; participate in unit coverage that aligns with patient care demands
- Scheduling considerations include weekends (minimum every other weekend or 1–2 weekends per month) and holidays as noted in assignment details

Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT MR licensure; MR advanced licensure required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency); BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Philips MRI system experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Ability to float between inpatient and outpatient settings within the assigned service area
