What you will do as a blow mold set up mechanic:
- set up new orders and get parts running
- responsible for changeovers and tooling clean-outs and storage and mold changes
- involved startups and shut downs as well as troubleshooting
- minor repairs to molds, heads, blow pins, screws, etc. so that machine and/or mold will be ready for the next production run involving them.
- Monitor the bottle production line and assure continuous flow
- Prepare work areas for Mechanics: transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work areas
- Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
- other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What you will need as a blow mold set up mechanic:
- high level of mechanical skills
- manufacturing experience
- Plastics blow molding or injection molding experience a huge bonus
- Plastics manufacturing background preferred
