What You’ll Bring:
- Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience teaching in Special Education, preferably with elementary grades
- Strong understanding of IEPs and differentiation strategies
- Confidence in managing a mixed-grade classroom and meeting diverse educational needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Motivated, adaptable, and passionate about student development
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct instruction to a combination 2nd and 3rd grade Special Education classroom
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual student IEPs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and family members to ensure student success
- Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports varied learning styles
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
