Orthopedic practice hiring for radiology tech.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm
Type: temp to hire
Responsibilities:
- Operating imaging equipment to create clear diagnostic images of specific anatomical areas as requested by physicians.
- Accurately positioning patients for the required view, providing instructions, and ensuring their comfort and cooperation throughout the procedure.
- Reviewing images for clarity and quality, and retaking them when necessary to get the desired results.
- Implementing proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure to both the patient and themselves, including patient shielding and correct technique.
- Documenting patient history, procedure duration, and results, and properly storing and transmitting images.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts X-Ray Tech License
- Two year program with an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Experience in the field of Orthopedics preferred
