Job DescriptionDirect Counsel is seeking a Finance (Banking) Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of law firm experience representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions, with a strong preference for experience in leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance.

Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of law firm experience, primarily representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions.
- Experience with leveraged finance; candidates with other commercial lending experience will also be considered.
- Preference for experience in leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance.
- Strong experience drafting, editing, and reviewing loan documents, including loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, commitment papers, and closing documentation.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely.
- Strong work ethic, collaborative approach, and demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
- High initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated client relationship skills.
- Must be admitted to the state bar where practicing or eligible for admission by waiver.
Compensation: $260,000-$390,000 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and other factors, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
