Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS)

Job Summary:
Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is seeking an experienced and passionate RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) to join our dynamic care team. As a key member of our management team, the ADNS will assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing services department. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly range of $50- $55. Salaried role.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Services department

Meet the clinical needs of all residents

Assist with maintaining, reviewing, and developing clinical policies and procedures

Ensure that Nursing policies and procedures are followed
-
Monitor and review staffing needs, schedules, and work assignments
-
Oversee the certification of nursing assistants and track required in-service hours yearly
-
Ensure proper medication administration, handling, storage, and auditing
-
Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies and implement plans of correction for deficiencies

Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
-
Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state

Minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; B.S.N. preferred

CPR certified
-
Minimum one (1) year experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility
Essential Skills:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions

Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures

Patience, tact, professional demeanor, and enthusiasm
-
Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing nursing practices
-
Ability to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations
-
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice
