Our firm is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant with strong dictation/transcription experience to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, and comfortable handling confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe attorney dictation accurately and efficiently (required)
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal correspondence and documents
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Answer phones and communicate professionally with clients and courts
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist with time entry, billing support, and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed
Required Qualifications
- Prior transcription experience (required)
- Previous experience in a legal or professional office environment preferred
- Strong typing skills with high accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic office technology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
