In this role, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service in the grocery and dairy sections. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills and contribute to a positive shopping experience for all customers.ResponsibilitiesStock shelves with grocery and dairy products, ensuring items are properly arranged and labeled for easy customer accessOperate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport products within the store or warehouseConduct inventory control activities including stock counts, tracking product levels, and reporting discrepancies using RF scanners and inventory management systemsAssist customers with product inquiries, provide product knowledge on grocery items, produce, and dairy products, and offer friendly customer serviceMaintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, organizing storage spaces, and packaging products securelySupport shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading shipments accurately while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling proceduresCollaborate with team members on merchandising efforts, ensuring products are well-presented and shelves are stocked efficientlyExperiencePrevious retail store experience or familiarity with grocery is preferred but we will train the right candidate!Hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklift trucks, or RF scanners is advantageousStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control tasks accuratelyExcellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities) are a plus for engaging diverse customer basesDemonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniquesBasic math skills for retail math calculations related to stock levels, pricing, and inventory managementCustomer service experience that highlights effective communication skills and a friendly attitude in fast-paced environmentsJoin us in creating an energetic shopping environment where teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction come first!
