Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting, providing vital communication assistance across various grade levels and classroom environments. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year with an immediate start date and ending June 19, 2026. Located in the Nashua, NH area, this opportunity requires working onsite Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events across all grade levels K-12
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure accessibility and support student learning
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working onsite exclusively
Required Qualifications:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license
- National certification highly preferred; EIPA score of 3.8 or above will be considered acceptable
- Proficient in written English, including EIPA writing skills
- Ability to work full-time onsite in the Nashua, NH region
