Highlights of the position:
- Work with Early Childhood caseloads as an itinerant teacher, traveling between 3-4 locations
- Full-time schedule available (8:00am–3:30pm), with flexibility for part-time hours if preferred
- The caseload is expected to grow throughout the year, offering professional growth and variety
- Position starts August 20th or later during the first semester, providing ample time for a seamless transition
Desired qualifications:
- Current Vermont Early Childhood Endorsement or eligibility for a provisional license
- Experience or strong passion for teaching in Special Education at the Early Childhood level
- Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and communicate effectively with staff and families
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in line with state and federal requirements
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate closely with other educators, family members, and specialists across various sites
- Monitor student progress, assess educational outcomes, and adjust approaches as needed throughout the year
