Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher within a dedicated school community near Montpelier, VT. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work in-person with students at both the elementary and middle school levels during the 2026-27 school year.

Two positions are available: one as a Middle School Special Educator and another as an Elementary School Special Educator. Both roles are designed for passionate professionals seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week) experience focused on providing individualized support, developing compliant educational plans, and collaborating directly with students, teachers, and families.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Special Education Teacher credentials, meeting all state certification requirements
• Previous experience working as a special educator in a school setting (elementary or middle school preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse teams and families
• Ability and commitment to serve in-person for the duration of the assignment
• Familiarity with crafting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and providing specialized instruction

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
• Provide targeted instruction, accommodations, and modifications in accordance with IEP goals
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance
• Engage positively with students, families, and the broader school community
