Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Principal specializing in MEP/FP to lead our engineering team in delivering innovative designs and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, combined with expertise in fire protection systems. This role involves overseeing project execution, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team in the design and implementation of MEP/FP systems for various projects.
  • Utilize Revit and BIM technology to create detailed engineering models and drawings.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct system analysis and calculations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, ensuring compliance with local and national codes and standards.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical skills.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, addressing their engineering needs and concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP engineering design.
  • Proficient in Revit and BIM software.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
