Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational institution in Concord, NH, is seeking a Special Education Teacher with expertise in English Language Arts (ELA) to support middle and high school students. This contract position offers an opportunity to deliver individualized educational services in alignment with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) during the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in ELA, adhering to IEP goals and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive educational atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records related to student performance and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification in Special Education.
  • Experience teaching ELA at the middle and/or high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Location and Schedule:

  • This position is located in Concord, NH.
  • Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.
