Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team, maintaining a mix of residential and commercial properties. The role involves maintaining a newly added 40,000 sq. ft. life sciences space in Somerville and assisting with work orders across eight residential buildings in the Boston area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair residential and commercial locations in Somerville and Boston.
- Assist with work orders for eight residential buildings.
- Ensure the upkeep of a 40,000 sq. ft. life sciences facility in Somerville.
- Implement a CMMS for efficient work order management.
- Communicate effectively to manage work order assignments.
- Troubleshoot and repair using hand tools.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, preventive maintenance, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in life sciences, biotech, and residential maintenance.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating work orders and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Comfortable driving between properties.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Based in the Boston area for on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment
Work at the SomerNova Campus, a 300,000 square foot property with 14 tenants, including a brand new 40,000 sq. ft. life sciences 'tough-tech' building. The role involves working across eight residential buildings in Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston.

This is a Permanent position based out of Somerville, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
