Legal & Compliance Paralegal

The Legal & Compliance Paralegal is a newly created role and will be a key member of the firm’s Legal & Compliance team. This individual will support a broad range of legal and compliance matters, with particular focus on fund closings, entity management, investor obligations, and recurring compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

\n

Fund Closings & Document Management

\n

    \n
  • Maintain key fund documentation, amendments, consents, deadlines, and related trackers in partnership with Legal & Compliance
  • \n

  • Reconcile fund files and databases against governing agreements and side letters
  • \n

  • Track investor obligations, including investment restrictions, excuse rights, LPAC consents, and reporting requirements
  • \n

  • Coordinate documentation requests with internal stakeholders and outside counsel
  • \n

Entity Management

\n

    \n
  • Manage entity lifecycle matters, including formations, dissolutions, name changes, good standing requests, and board slates
  • \n

\n

Compliance Support

\n

    \n
  • Support expert network reviews, NDA conflict checks, and trade pre-clearance
  • \n

  • Track and administer investor-specific compliance obligations under LPAs and side letters
  • \n

  • Coordinate AML/KYC requests from limited partners, banking partners, and counterparties
  • \n

  • Respond to investor and counterparty requests for fund information
  • \n

Process Improvement & Team Support

\n

    \n
  • Develop and maintain best practices, documentation, and SOPs across Legal & Compliance
  • \n

  • Partner with Finance, Investor Relations, and outside counsel on ad hoc legal and compliance matters
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal/compliance associate, either in-house or at a law firm; asset management, private equity, credit, or alternative investment experience preferred
  • \n

  • Experience with entity formation and lifecycle management
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate a plus
  • \n

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (DOE)
  • \n

  • Annual bonus: 10%
  • \n

  • 10% retirement contribution
