An excellent opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Rehab and Long-Term Care to provide expert nursing care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This contract position is located in Rochester, NH, offering exposure to a specialized unit dedicated to patient recovery and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities include managing a patient caseload with a ratio of approximately 6:1, delivering comprehensive nursing care utilizing equipment such as mechanical lifts, Baxter and Kangaroo pumps, and maintaining accurate documentation via Meditech EMR. The nurse will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, adapting to patient needs across day and night shifts. Flexibility and kindness, along with thoroughness, are key personality traits for success in this role.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with experience in rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing
- Proficiency with IV therapy is required
- Preferred skills include wound care, stroke, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) management
- BLS certification (required)
- Ability to work alternating weekends, with on-call duties every other weekend
