Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by providing specialized instruction and support in a dedicated self-contained mental health/behavior program for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to work with a caseload of 10-16 students, delivering targeted educational and behavioral interventions in a supportive, team-based middle school environment. The contract spans the full 2026-2027 academic year, with working hours aligning to standard school times.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
- Demonstrated experience in special education, especially with mental health and behavior support needs
- Strong skills in completing evaluations, ongoing case management, report writing, and participation in student meetings
- Ability to foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to students in a self-contained setting
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s educational and social-emotional needs
- Conduct student assessments and draft comprehensive reports
- Engage regularly in case management activities and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and communication regarding student progress and program effectiveness
This contract opportunity runs from September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027, with 32.5-35 hours per week during the school day (7:30 AM - 2:20 PM). You’ll have the chance to build lasting relationships with students and colleagues, helping to shape a supportive and effective learning environment.
