Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in a K-12 public school environment. These full-time contract positions are ideal for experienced educators holding a moderate special education license, with a strong background in secondary education.
Locations and Duration:
- High School Level (Grades 9-12): Two full-time positions with hours from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM. Contracts extend until June 2026.
- Middle School Level (Grades 6-8): One full-time position with hours from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM. Contract extends until March 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Moderate Special Education License.
- Experience working with secondary school students, particularly grades 6 through 12.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
- Commitment to collaborating with general education teachers and school support staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to improve educational outcomes.
- Participate in student team meetings and contribute to comprehensive evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
