Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations at a smaller hospital in rural New Hampshire. This contract role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and offers a chance to oversee the full spectrum of pharmacy management in a close-knit hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure pharmacy compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Oversee human resources functions, budget management, and departmental administration.
- Represent the pharmacy department at leadership and interdepartmental meetings.
- Lead various projects and initiatives to advance pharmacy services.
- Supervise and support a team of 5 full-time pharmacy staff members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven hospital pharmacy management experience, with strong leadership skills.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a New Hampshire pharmacy license promptly; New Hampshire’s licensing process is straightforward, and candidates without a current NH license are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, HR processes, and budget oversight in a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively represent the department and collaborate with hospital leadership.
