Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated paraprofessionals who are passionate about making a difference in elementary education. Join a supportive team for the 2026-2027 school year, contributing your skills to intensive autism programs in a nurturing and dynamic environment. Two to three full-time positions are available, with a consistent schedule of 32.5-35 hours per week, running from September 2026 through June 2027.
Ideal background and experience:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and other staff members
- Experience supporting students with autism or other developmental needs is preferred
- Patience, flexibility, and compassion for assisting students in achieving their educational goals
- Ability to adapt to individualized education plans and follow directions from lead teachers or program administrators
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to elementary-aged students within intensive autism programs
- Assist with implementing instructional plans, individual or small group activities, social skills, and behavioral strategies
- Support classroom routines, promote a positive learning environment, and encourage independence and participation
- Help with personal care or mobility needs as required by specific students
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress or concerns to teachers and team members
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions
