Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments, gathering detailed patient histories to accurately identify the trauma's impact and tailor treatment approaches.

  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and fostering resilience, using evidence-based practices.

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment for each patient.
  • \n

  • Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • \n

  • Offer education to patients and their families, fostering a deeper understanding of trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms.

  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative learning environment that emphasizes trauma-informed care.

  • Continuously update your knowledge regarding trauma therapies and integrate new findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population consists of individuals experiencing a variety of trauma-related disorders including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our practice is dedicated to promoting healing within a safe, nurturing space, emphasizing trauma-informed approaches that address each patient’s unique experiences. You will play a pivotal role in helping these individuals understand and manage their symptoms while restoring their sense of safety and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.
  • \n

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a capacity for empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
  • \n

  • Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.
  • \n

  • Competency in using EHR systems and related computer applications.
  • \n

  • Ability to operate collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with a background in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be preferred. The ability to effectively deliver trauma-informed therapeutic approaches and engage diverse patient populations is essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
