Compensation Range: $35-45/hr
Job Description:
Support FPGA development by owning the end-to-end process of implementing RTL designs onto FPGA boards and validating them in a lab environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Take RTL designs through FPGA synthesis, build, and board bring-up
- Program FPGA boards using JTAG interfaces
- Execute and validate hardware tests in a lab environment
- Debug board-level issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
- Collaborate closely with digital design engineers to resolve design and validation issues
- Operate within a Linux-based development environment
- Independently troubleshoot and drive FPGA validation efforts
Requirements:
- Must-Haves:
- At least 1 year of hands-on FPGA board experience
- Experience taking designs from RTL → FPGA → lab validation
- Strong understanding of FPGA synthesis and build flows
- Experience with JTAG programming
- Proficiency working in a Linux-based environment
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supplies)
- Ability to work independently and own technical processes end-to-end
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams
- Nice-to-Haves:
- 3–5 years of total relevant experience
- Experience with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado, Quartus)
- Exposure to Python and/or C for scripting and automation
