Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting client history and symptoms meticulously from the initial consultation to discharge.

  • Design and implement tailored treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering unique circumstances and challenges.
  • \n

  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques suited to each client’s needs.
  • \n

  • Continuously monitor client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, ensuring effectiveness and adherence.

  • Collaborate with fellow mental health providers and healthcare professionals—such as psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to create integrated intervention strategies.

  • Follow up diligently with clients referred to hospital care, maintaining communication with attending psychiatrists and physicians regarding treatment continuity.
  • \n

  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively to mitigate these, offering guidance and support to clients and their families.

  • Assist family members and caregivers in managing mental health challenges connected to their loved ones, providing education and resources as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve consist of a diverse range of individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

  • Demonstrated clinical skills through previous experience as a mental health counselor.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and maintain accuracy in treatment records.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience addressing co-occurring conditions such as addiction disorders and physical health challenges.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

  • In-depth understanding of the pharmacological effects of medications prescribed by other medical professionals, with the ability to discuss these matters with clients.

  • Exemplary communication skills that enhance clinician-client relationships and foster a supportive environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, alongside a sign-on bonus.
