Hiring for a Medical Assistant for a healthcare clinic in Westborough, MA
MUST have at least 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience and experience working with both adult and pediatric patients
Medical Assistant Certificate through school or accredited program required.
Pay: $26-28/hr based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Overtime available but NOT required
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- MA Certification required
- EMR experience is required – practice utilizes E-MDs
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with managed care plan requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
- Ability to exercise judgment in dealing with sensitive, confidential information
- Operational, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with dressing changes using sterile techniques
- Perform phlebotomy and EKGs
- Administer injections and immunizations
- Maintain and care for equipment and environment according to JCAHO requirements
- Maintain the oversight of lab tracking system within the unit
- Assist with the orientation of new staff members as well as training of appropriate staff for the implementation of new tests and/or procedures
- Responsible for more complex procedures and job duties as directed
- Perform all other related duties to maintain the operational integrity of the practice
