\n · Number of Beds - 4 ultrasound rooms
\n · Number of Staff – 14
\n · Type of staff:
\n o Day Shift – 4 sonographers staffed (plus supervisor)
\n o Second shift- 1 sonographer staffed after 7:30p
\n o Night Shift – 1 sonographer staffed
\n · Patient Ratios – 8-10 in an 8 hour shift
\n · Type of equipment – Siemens Acuson S200 & Client Logiq E10
\n · EMR – Allscripts
\n · PACS- InteleRad
\n · Patient Population - pedi to geriatric
\n Typical hiring profile
\n Skill Set Most recruited for: At least one year of experience with a wide array of exposure to various types of ultrasound, a good track record with past employers, and positive references
\n Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
\n · Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings
\n · Basic scanning skills with good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques
\n · Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting- with some exposure to general, vascular, & OB-GYN sonography
\n Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
\n · Additional certifications: RVT, OB-GYN, AB
\n · Experience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures
\n · 1 year of experience beyond education
\n List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
\n · Thoras, paras, FNAs (thyroids, parotids, lymph nodes), soft tissue masses or lymph node BXs, liver & renal BXs, drainages (abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), thrombin injections, etc
\n · OR- breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, prostate BXs

\n REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
\n · BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure
\n Floating Area(s):
\n · Opportunities for extra shifts within the dept. If Breast ultrasound desired- BCC may have opportunities
\n Dress Code:
\n · Scrub Color/Attire - Any color professional, clean appearing scrubs or radiology themed t shirts
\n Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
\n · Attendance and PTO request policies must be followed, all exam protocols need to be adhered to
\n Weekends and On-call (if any)
\n · Weekends covered by weekend position staff. No call- call tree implemented for permanent FT staff for critical staffing needs
