This contract position is an excellent chance to provide direct counseling services within an educational setting, working with a small, focused caseload. You'll engage with students requiring specialized support, particularly those experiencing selective mutism, and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Active and current New Hampshire Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) credential is required
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly students with selective mutism
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort with providing counseling both in direct sessions and through individualized service plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized counseling services to identified students, based on their specific needs and educational plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and progress notes
- Participate in meetings with school staff and families as needed
- Coordinate with teachers and administrators to foster an inclusive, supportive educational atmosphere
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards
This assignment is structured for one 8-hour day per week, with a caseload of three students, combining direct student sessions and related administrative duties. The role spans from the present through June 2027, allowing for sustained positive impact while maintaining a flexible commitment.
