Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a busy residential real estate practice in Massachusetts. This role is ideal for an organized individual who can guide files through each stage of the conveyancing process while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong organization. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and agents to help ensure efficient closings and a high standard of client service.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee residential real estate files from signed agreement through final post-closing follow-up, ensuring each matter moves forward on schedule.
• Prepare, examine, and finalize closing-related materials such as deeds, affidavits, settlement documents, and closing disclosures.
• Obtain title searches, assess title findings, address clearing items, and coordinate the issuance of title insurance documentation.
• Draft conveyancing paperwork, including deeds and supporting property transfer documents, with careful attention to legal and procedural requirements.
• Arrange closing appointments and coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and real estate professionals to keep transactions on track.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for transaction updates, responding to questions and providing timely communication to all parties involved.
• Review lender instructions and assemble complete loan packages to support accurate and efficient closings.
• Handle pre-closing and post-closing activities, including recording documents, tracking completion items, and managing the disbursement of funds.
• Maintain well-organized electronic and paper files while monitoring critical dates, contingencies, and contractual deadlines.• At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting residential real estate transactions in a paralegal capacity.
• Strong understanding of Massachusetts residential conveyancing procedures, title practices, and closing requirements.
• Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload independently while maintaining precision and organization.
• Experience preparing closing disclosures, loan packages, and related closing documentation.
• Familiarity with title review, issue resolution, and coordination of title insurance matters.
• Proficiency with real estate and e-closing software platforms is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and transaction partners.
• Paralegal training, a paralegal certificate, notary status, or experience working with local registries is a plus.
