Currently, there are two in-person positions available for dedicated Special Education Teachers, covering the 2026-27 academic year through June 18, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure meeting all state requirements for Special Education Teachers
- Demonstrated experience working in-person with students in special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, evaluation processes, and case management
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals
- Willingness to commit for the full contract duration
Role Responsibilities:Middle School Special Educator
- Teach and case-manage 5th and 6th-grade students at the middle and elementary levels
- Conduct educational evaluations and prepare legally-compliant IEPs
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports student growth and achievementHigh School Special Educator
- Serve as case manager for high school students receiving special education services
- Provide direct instruction to students on IEPs, tailoring interventions as needed
- Supervise, mentor, and support paraeducators working alongside you
- Maintain accurate records and active communication with staff and families
