An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a contract role in Mansfield, MA. This full-time position is scheduled from October to December 2026, serving grades 9-12. The role focuses on creating inclusive learning environments, providing individualized instruction, and making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher license (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred
- Previous experience working with high school students in a special education capacity
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support student growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, IEP compliance, and parental communication
- Partner effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Engage in professional development and school-based meetings as required
