This contract opportunity requires an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in psychiatric care, specifically in adult forensic and intensive unit settings. Candidates must be confident and highly skilled in managing complex nursing needs for patients dealing with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders. Immediate availability to start on February 2nd is mandatory.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address individual and group needs, using the nursing process to provide comprehensive care, and supervising Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. The role supports a 24-hour inpatient treatment program focused on co-occurring disorders, emphasizing medically assisted withdrawal, stabilization, and patient education aimed at fostering long-term recovery.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with psychiatric nursing experience
- Proven ability to work in adult forensic or intensive psychiatric units
- Skilled in managing patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Strong clinical supervision and leadership capabilities
- Must be able to start on 2/2 without exception
