Sign-On Bonus: We are excited to announce a sign-on bonus of $8,500 for full-time positions.

Work Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Position Overview:

The role involves assembling instrument trays for surgical operations utilizing computerized count sheets, as well as processing instruments for sterilization and distribution.

Primary Duties:

• Transport and replenish surgical instruments and medical supplies within surgical suites and the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Receive, sort, clean, and decontaminate used instruments and equipment, while manually logging all items received.
• Operate and maintain cleaning and decontamination machinery, including washers, reprocessors, and pasteurizers.
• Inspect, prepare, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and materials, adhering to standardized lists and manufacturer instructions.
• Load, program, and monitor sterilizers throughout the sterilization process to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Handle telephone communications, providing routine information and directing complex inquiries to supervisors.
• Provide leadership within the department in the absence of senior staff, organizing daily operations and prioritizing tasks to meet clinical demands.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and complete daily shift reports to ensure a smooth workflow within the department.

Essential Qualifications: Education:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

• A minimum of two years of experience in Sterile Processing is required.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) is required.
