The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32–37.5 hours per week. You will focus on supporting students with diverse learning needs, collaborating with fellow educators, and fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere in the classroom.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Previous experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to adapt instruction to meet varying learning needs
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
  • Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
  • Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaborations
