Assistant Manager – Tire & Auto Service
The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of Nashua Wholesale Tire and Auto while helping lead a high‐performing, family‐oriented team. This role blends hands‐on technical work with leadership, coaching, and customer service. You will help drive productivity, maintain quality standards, and ensure the shop runs smoothly in a fast‐paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership — Lead by example on the shop floor; guide technicians through daily tasks, set expectations, and maintain a positive, productive environment.
- Motivation & Accountability — Keep the team energized and focused; ensure technicians stay on task, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards.
- Workflow & Shop Operations — Assist in scheduling, job assignment, and prioritizing work based on customer needs and shop volume.
- Customer Service Oversight — Support front‐of‐house interactions, explain services, resolve concerns, and ensure every customer leaves satisfied.
- Quality Control — Inspect completed work, verify accuracy, and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Technical Expertise — Perform tire installation, oil changes, brake work, and other routine maintenance as needed.
- Training & Development — Help onboard new hires, coach developing technicians, and support ongoing skill growth.
- Safety Leadership — Enforce safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized shop, and model safe work habits.
- Operational Support — Assist with inventory, shop organization, and daily operational tasks.
Requirements
- Prior experience in an automotive repair facility
- Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and problem‐solving skills
- Ability to drive customer vehicles
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast‐paced environment
