Direct Counsel is seeking a Public M&A Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm.

Locations: Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York

Position Overview

The attorney will join the firm's Public M&A team within its Global M&A group and work on sophisticated M&A and public company transactions across a range of industries, including technology, life sciences, private equity, and real estate.

Responsibilities

• Advise public and private companies on complex mergers and acquisitions
• Represent clients on both the buy-side and sell-side of M&A transactions
• Advise clients on related securities law matters
• Work directly with senior partners on sophisticated M&A and public company transactions
• Develop versatile transactional and advisory skills
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple industry-focused practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in M&A and transactional law
• Substantial experience with M&A transactions involving public and private companies
• Experience representing clients on both the buy-side and sell-side
• Strong understanding of related securities laws
• Strong academic credentials
• Comparable law firm experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
• Deal sheet required

Compensation

$365,000+, depending on qualifications and experience.
