The Town of Brewster is currently seeking applicants for the position of 32 Week Groundskeeper for the Captains Golf Course. This position is responsible for the general maintenance of two 18-hole municipal golf course grounds, including daily course preparation and operation of equipment. Duties include but are not limited to; responsible for the aeration, seeding, sodding, weeding, clean up, watering, preparation, and fertilizing of the grounds; maintains bunkers and cart paths, cuts pin placement for greens; and operates vehicles, equipment, tools, and machinery used in the maintenance and repair of the golf course.
High School diploma or equivalent required and 1 year of experience in grounds maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The successful candidate is team oriented, willing to learn, and possesses a positive attitude. Sound Interesting? This is a full-time benefit eligible 40 hour a week, 32 weeks per year (typically late March to late November) permanent position, covered under the Town’s SEIU union agreement with a pay range of $25.54 - $31.42 per hour, starting pay dependent on qualifications and experience.
