Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced Registered Nurse with stepdown care skills is needed to provide specialized nursing care within a dynamic gastroenterology office setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in line with individualized care plans, ensuring attention to each patient’s unique needs.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient management.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient conditions, treatments, and progress, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following hospital guidelines and safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about disease management, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and advocate for patient rights.
- Adhere strictly to healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to uphold a safe and ethical environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with nursing best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active RN licensure with stepdown unit experience.
- Proficient in clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage documentation and electronic health records accurately.
