Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a pivotal Travel Physical Therapist role anchored in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where your expertise will empower patients to reclaim mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love. This is more than a contract—it's an opportunity to shape daily life in a community that prizes care, connection, and clinical excellence. Picture yourself guiding patients through personalized therapeutic journeys, celebrating incremental gains, and witnessing the confidence that comes with restored function. Massachusetts offers a rich backdrop for your practice, from the vibrant fall foliage and scenic drives of the Berkshires to the cultural festivals and family-friendly outdoor adventures that define life here. In this setting, your clinical impact resonates beyond the clinic walls, creating ripple effects of health and independence for individuals and families alike.

As a Travel Physical Therapist, you’ll have the chance to work not only in Pittsfield but to explore varied locations across the United States, choosing settings that align with your professional goals while maintaining the solid foundation you’ll build in this assignment. Pittsfield stands at the heart of the Berkshire region, a four-season playground where hiking, skiing, and scenic landscapes meet thriving arts communities and excellent dining. The opportunity to rotate to nearby towns or other states enables you to diversify your clinical experience—working with diverse patient populations, learning different care models, and expanding your professional network—while still enjoying the comforts of a welcoming home base in Massachusetts. The blend of small-city charm, accessible outdoor recreation, and proximity to larger metropolitan areas creates a uniquely rewarding backdrop for a PT who thrives on clinical variety, collaborative teams, and meaningful patient outcomes.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive initial evaluations, craft evidence-based treatment plans, and implement interventions that address mobility, strength, balance, and neuromuscular function. Your responsibilities include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise progression, gait re-education, assistive device training, and modalities to relieve pain and restore function. You’ll monitor patient progress, adjust plans as they respond, and educate patients and families on durable home exercise programs to sustain gains outside the clinic. Documentation in electronic health records will be precise and timely, ensuring continuity of care across multi-disciplinary teams that include physicians, nurses, and other therapists. You’ll participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and outcomes measurement, contributing to quality improvement initiatives that elevate care across locations. The environment emphasizes autonomy within a collaborative framework, encouraging you to apply evidence-based practices while sharing your clinical insights with peers and mentors. This contract provides a platform for ongoing professional growth: you’ll have access to specialty certifications, structured mentorship, and clear pathways to broaden your scope of practice, whether you pursue advanced manual therapy techniques, vestibular rehabilitation, orthotics integration, or pediatric adaptations, depending on patient needs and site availability.

Compensation and benefits are crafted to recognize your expertise and travel commitment. The position begins on 12/01/2025, with a duration defined in weeks and flexible scheduling to accommodate patient care requirements. Weekly pay ranges from $2,581 to $2,687, reflecting the value you bring to dynamic outpatient and inpatient settings as a Physical Therapist. While this assignment does not guarantee hours, the arrangement is designed to be responsive to patient volume and site needs, providing you with meaningful caseloads and the opportunity to extend or renew at favorable terms. In addition to competitive compensation, you may qualify for a signing or retention bonus where applicable, comprehensive housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing costs, and the option to extend beyond the initial term to continue serving communities in need. The program is underpinned by robust support services, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel support team to address any clinical, logistical, or personal needs that arise during your travels, ensuring you can focus on delivering the highest standard of care with confidence.

The company is committed to empowering staff through clear career development, a supportive culture, and a collaborative environment that values your contributions and professional growth. You’ll be part of a purpose-driven network that prioritizes patient outcomes, staff well-being, and ongoing learning—an ecosystem designed to help you thrive as you broaden your clinical horizons while making a tangible difference in people’s lives. From mentorship and continuing education opportunities to structured advancement paths, the focus is on your success as a clinician and as a valued member of a nationwide team.

If you’re ready to deploy your PT expertise where it matters, to grow through diverse experiences, and to join a company that prioritizes your development and well-being, apply today. This is your invitation to shape the future of physical therapy care, to expand your horizons across locations, and to contribute to a community that celebrates resilience, progress, and compassionate service. Ready to explore new horizons and make a lasting impact? Join us in delivering exceptional mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
