A premier Northern New England law firm is actively seeking a Corporate / M&A Attorney (Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner) to join its growing business and transactions practice in Manchester, New Hampshire.

This is an opportunity to join one of the region's largest and most dynamic full-service firms, known for delivering sophisticated, business-oriented legal counsel while maintaining deep local roots and a collaborative culture.

About the Opportunity

Join a highly regarded corporate team advising closely held businesses, middle-market companies, and institutional clients on complex transactional matters across New England.

The firm provides end-to-end corporate counsel, including mergers & acquisitions, business formation, corporate governance, and strategic transactions-often serving as trusted outside counsel to long-standing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side)
  • Structure and negotiate asset and equity deals
  • Draft and review:
    • Purchase agreements
    • Operating/shareholder agreements
    • Disclosure schedules and ancillary documents
  • Advise on corporate governance and general business matters
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across tax, real estate, finance, and litigation
  • Maintain and grow client relationships (especially at senior levels)

Required Qualifications

  • Experience level: Open (Associate through Partner)
  • Strong background in corporate law, M&A, and general business transactions
  • Licensed in New Hampshire or Massachusetts (or ability to waive in)
  • Ability to reside/commute within 30 minutes of Manchester, NH
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Portable book of business (especially for senior candidates)
  • Experience with middle-market deals or regional clients
  • Exposure to related areas such as finance, real estate, or tax structuring
