Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee the daily operations of construction projects, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams, liaise with subcontractors, and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure project completion on time and within budget
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, reports, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the project
- Lead and motivate the construction team to achieve project goals and objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, particularly in multi-family projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- CSL (Construction Supervisor License) is required
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
