Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students in a collaborative elementary school environment. This contract position calls for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or highly experienced Behavior Technician/Paraprofessional with a strong background in behavior intervention and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role spans from October 2026 through May 2027, with consistent Monday through Friday hours, 8:15am to 3:15pm, totaling 32.5 hours each week.
What You’ll Do:
- Work onsite, supporting a classroom with students who require behavioral interventions, with a primary focus on one non-verbal student assigned on a rotational basis
- Assist in the gradual integration of students into the classroom environment, adapting support strategies as needs evolve
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the supervising school BCBA to implement and document behavior intervention plans
- Rotate support among students, fostering an inclusive and structured learning atmosphere
- Engage daily with learners who benefit significantly from expertise in ASD, ensuring a safe and supportive educational experience
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (must provide proof with your application)
- For behavior technician/paraprofessional applicants: Demonstrated experience in behavioral and ASD settings; 1:1 experience alone is not sufficient
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite in a classroom environment
- Proven ability to follow supervision and guidance from a BCBA
- Candidates without direct experience in behavioral/ASD settings will not be considered
