This position provides comprehensive leave coverage from November through March, offering a consistent, full-time schedule of 32.5 hours per week. Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist within the state
- Experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans for K-12 students
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, supporting their mobility, participation, and overall access to educational programs
- Conduct assessments, develop individual education program (IEP) goals, and document progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to adapt learning environments and activities
- Communicate regularly with families concerning student progress and recommendations
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required service documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
