Now Hiring – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – South Team
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Responsibilities
-
Provides or assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, mouth care, skin care, and nail care.

Provides assistance with toileting, positioning, and transfers, including frequent turning and positioning of bed-bound patients.

Assists with prescribed exercises and range-of-motion (ROM) activities that the patient and Hospice Aide have been instructed on by the Hospice Nurse.

Assists with light housekeeping of the patient's personal living area or room, including changing bed linens and patient laundry as needed.

Feeds and assists patients with meals as appropriate.

Obtains temperature, pulse, and respirations as directed and supervised by the Hospice Nurse.

Reports any changes in the patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, when the patient resides in a facility, to the appropriate facility nurse. Documents the information as required, including the date and time of the report and the individual receiving the information.

Assists or reminds patients to take medications in compliance with applicable regulations and the requirements of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Provides compassionate and respectful care to hospice patients and their families while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and quality of life throughout end-of-life care.

Communicates effectively with the Hospice Nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and changes in condition.

Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all applicable hospice policies, HIPAA requirements, and regulatory standards.
Education
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Professional Experience & Requirements

Must have a current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Previous hospice or home health experience preferred.
-
No prior hospice experience is required; one year of CNA experience is preferred.

Must be willing and able to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
