Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide physical therapy services within a K-12 school setting, supporting students with diverse needs to enhance their functional abilities and participation in academic activities. This contract position, located in Holyoke, MA, offers a schedule of 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligning with school hours from 7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The caseload typically includes 7-8 students, allowing for focused, individualized therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored physical therapy interventions to students across grades K-12
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in pliance with school policies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials valid in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience working in school-based physical therapy settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy practices and developmental milestones
- Excellent munication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of 7-8 students effectively
