Help people get their lives back after a disaster.
When a fire or flood hits a home or business, people lose more than "stuff" — they lose the TV where the family gathers, the appliances they rely on every day, the equipment a business runs on. At Prism Specialty Restoration, we bring those things back to life. We're a disaster restoration company specializing in restoring consumer and commercial electronics and appliances, and we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented General Technician to join our team.
No experience needed. If you're careful with your hands, take pride in doing a job right, and want to build real skills, we'll train you in every part of the role.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional weekend or overnight work as claims require.
What you'll do
You'll be the person who evaluates damaged electronics and appliances, remediates them to their pre-loss condition, and returns them to the families and businesses who need them. Day to day, that looks like:
- Conducting on-site evaluations of electronics damaged by fire, water, and other perils (from insurance claims)
- Safely inventorying, removing, and transporting items from insured properties
- Disassembling items for a thorough evaluation, then cleaning and restoring them
- Documenting your assessments — model numbers, serial numbers, condition — using digital tools
- Delivering restored items back to homes and businesses and reinstalling appliances with true "white glove" care
What we're looking for
- A sharp eye for detail, strong organization, and the ability to follow work instructions accurately
- Genuine customer-service instincts — you'll be meeting people during a stressful time, and how you treat them matters
- Comfort working in post-disaster environments and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs during pick-ups and deliveries
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (you'll operate company box trucks)
- Bonus: mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting electronics and equipment
Why Prism
- Real benefits — paid vacation, paid holidays, and health and dental coverage
- Paid, hands-on training — start with no experience and build a real trade
- Work that matters — your effort directly helps people recover something they thought they'd lost
If you're looking for an opportunity where your work makes a visible difference in people's lives while you develop real skills in electronics restoration, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.
