Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Take digital X-rays and intraoral images
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings
- Screen for signs of periodontal disease and other oral health concerns
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as appropriate
- Assist the dentist by communicating clinical findings and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
- Ensure every patient receives outstanding care in a comfortable and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with digital charting and dental software is preferred but not required
